This is the MA thesis project for RCA 2025, Verisimilitude.①

Verisimilitude② explores people’s tendency to seek emotional refuge in fiction rather than the truth. Rooted in reconnecting with humanness, the work allows sensory engagement with the concept of the Cabinet of Curiosities, built from cardboard. Stepping away from the digital fatigue modern society is riddled with, the audience is invited to open and explore each drawer③-④ for a tactile experience.

The drawers contain six characters⑤ created based on fellow MA students and their research, as well as six objects connected to each character. Verisimilitude provides a liminal space between digital and analogue, fiction and reality.⑥-⑦
