Evan(Ben Platt), an isolated high school student suffering from severe social anxiety, writes a letter to himself that gets mistaken as his classmate Connor Murphy’s suicide note. This letter eventually brings Evan close to the Murphy family while fulfilling Evan’s desire to connect with other people.
